Where do YOU take it all off?

The leash, that is. We like several places. Here's a map http://bit.ly/LOOHqu and a video with secret swimming holes for you and Fido.

Dogs and insurance

I was thinking of this because right now I have TWO dogs with me in my little house and I'm tripping over them! Insurance companies don't like dogs. Well, they don't like dogs that bite. And some, according to statistics, are more apt to bite than others. There's a "bite list" and if you own a dog or a mix on the list, you could be denied home owner's insurance. Yup. Who knew. Here's the list:

  • Husky
  • Rottweiler
  • Pit Bull aka American Terrier
  • Doberman Pinscher
  • German Shepherd
  • Chow
  • Akita
So if you're thinking of buying a house/condo, be aware of "the list" before you buy a dog. If you already own a pup on the list, make a call to your preferred provider before you buy that nice pet friendly condo.

Sssssh. Secret dog beach.

Take 'em for a walk and a swim, too. Just wear your Teva's 'cuz it's rocky.

where do you walk your dog?

I'm always looking for new places to let Kit run amuk. You know, "off leash". (And not at the beach with all the other knuckle heads.) I mean, out in the woods, away from the traffic, maybe run into another walker w dog or 2. But not a circus. Here's another couple I like: The Tomson Trail and the trail to Red Rock. See the video. And if you want more walks, see my map .
